Members of Provincial Council and committee chairs develop a strategic plan each year. This document serves as a general guideline for projects in future months. At the annual Strategic Planning Meeting, goals and achievements of the previous year are reviewed while new goals and focus issues are prioritized.
Cooperation between our associations and our national partner Speech-Language and Audiology Canada is made possible through our joint membership relationship, enabling us to use time and funds on complementary activities.
In 2011, we asked members to complete a survey about BCASLPA’s value to the professional life of its members. The survey focused on three subjects:
- Discovering and sharing knowledge
- Engendering enthusiastic belonging
- Extraordinary professional purpose
