Full Members
Full Members are members who are in good standing and who have completed a degree in speech language pathology or audiology from a university program recognized by the Provincial Council of the Association and who meet the other requirements for full membership set out in the bylaws.
Reduced hours: Members who work less than 800 hours per year can apply under this category to pay a reduced fee. Indicate on your CASLPA-BCASLPA renewal form that you are requesting reduced hours or email the BCASLPA office.
Student Members
Students who are enrolled in a Canadian university program may apply through CASLPA. Once you are a CASLPA student member, you may choose to belong to BCASLPA under the joint membership agreement. This means that you pay a one time CASLPA fee of $75 for the duration of your studies and your student membership for BCASLPA is free.

Supportive Personnel
We are please to announce that BCASLPA is now welcoming Supportive Personnel to become members of our Association. We recognize the important role of our colleagues and look forward to working with you to make an even stronger Association.
Benefits of becoming a member include:
- Receiving the quarterly publication “Vibrations" including news about local events.
- Reduced fees for attendance at the annual conference.
- An opportunity to collaborate with other Supportive Personnel on issues of importance.

Honorary Members
Honorary Members are those individuals who have been designated by the Association in recognition of their contribution to the professions. Honorary Members are exempt from paying dues.
Retired Members
Must be a Full Member and agree in writing that he or she will no longer be employed as a speech-language pathologist or audiologist and has no intention of re-entering the workforce in. A retired member need not meet the continuing education criteria or maintain membership in CASLPA. A retired member may attend meetings of Members, is entitled to vote, but may not hold office in the Association. A retired member may not use the titles "audiologist" or "speech-language pathologist". Contact the BCASLPA office if you wish to apply for this membership category.
