Clients with any of the following difficulties may need the services of an audiologist:

• deaf or hard of hearing
• certain speech and/or language difficulties
• persons at risk for hearing loss due to noise exposure, genetic causes, exposure to certain drugs or middle ear infections
• auditory-based learning disabilities
