We help people connect with others and their world, changing lives.
Communication: it’s what makes us human and what connects us to each other.
Our members help people who have speech and hearing disorders to better express themselves, understand what others say, be heard, and hear more clearly. For some, our work ends their isolation, for others, their frustration.
Our mission
We support our members by providing them with essential resources and professional development opportunities so they can provide the highest level of service to people with communication challenges. We also represent the interests of speech-language pathologists and audiologists in BC.
We are committed to:
- providing services and support for our members
- advancing knowledge about communication disorders
- promoting the highest professional and ethical standards
- providing the public with information about speech-language pathology and audiology
- educating consumers about speech-pathology and audiology services, and their rights
- advocating for services for the communicatively impaired
- supporting consumer advocacy efforts
