Our governance structure is member-driven.

BCASLPA is governed by an elected board, called the “Provincial Council.” The Council has 14 elected positions.

Positions Purpose

Executive Committee (6 positions):

  • President
  • Vice President
  • Past President
  • Treasurer
  • Secretary
  • Registrar
To deal with day-to-day operations of the association.

Professional Councilors (4 positions):

  • Audiologist - Public Practice
  • Audiologist - Private Practice
  • Speech-language Pathologist - Public Practice
  • Speech-language Pathologist - Private Practice
To ensure professional issues are considered.

Representatives - Main Committee Groupings (3 positions):

  • Area Representative
  • Member Services
  • Advocacy
To ensure committees have a direct line to the policy-approving body of the association.
Canadian Association for Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (CASLPA) Councilor (1 position) To represent BC on the national association's board.
